National Trade Certificate

The Final All India Trade Test (AITT) is conducted by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) after completion of the prescribed period of training and successful trainees are awarded the National Trade Certificates (N.T.Cs) in the trade concerned. The National Trade Certificates are recognized for the recruitment to the subordinate posts and services under the Government of India for which a Certificate in craftsmanship from NCVT is prescribed as the requisite qualification. It also helps to join in any Non-Government Organization related to this I.T.I trade.

Trade Test in the Technical Trade

All India Trade Test (AITT) are conducted by the National Council for Vocational Training consists of five Subjects.

a)Trade Practical, including sessional work,

b)Trade Theory, including sessional work,

c)Workshop calculation and science including sessional work.

d)Social Studies.

e)Engineering drawing including sessional work.

The total marks and the minimum marks required to pass the examination for the different subjects in the trade test will be as follow :– (AS per norms of NCVT Government of India)

Marking Pattern for Engineering Trades under CTC

Note :–

1. For passing, a trainee has to secure 40% exclusively in theory subject and also on the total marks i.e. the aggregate of theory subject and sessional works.
2. In practical, a trainee should secure 60% marks in aggregate in practical test and sessional works for a passing.
3. If a trainee fails in one or more subjects he may be permitted to re-appear in the subsequent test/supplementary examination.
4. It need not be necessary for a trainee to appear in all the subjects in the first attempt for securing exemption. However for searching exemption the trainees have to secure at least 10% more marks on the total of the subject than minimum pas marks in any subject.
5. Five additional chances may be given to a failed trainee within a period of three years to pass the Final All India Trade Test for the award of National Trade Certificates.
6. Each trainee will submit his sessional work duly signed by concerned teacher/instructor indicating his roll number. The Instructor will give the sessional work to the examiner concerned for evaluation. The evaluation should be done on the basis of progress cards of the trainee’s exercise done by him during his training period class, note books and records etc kept by him. The periodical assessments made should be kept in view. A few question related to the trade may be asked by the examiner concerned during practical test as viva-voce. A few simple questions on course studies may also be asked.

Unauthorized Absence

For unauthorized absence of less than 10 consecutive days at a time, the Principal of the institute will issue a written warning to the trainee for the 1st occasion. If the offence is repeated his case should be reported to State Director with a view to discharge.
